Dr. Skinner's patient, age 41, complained of jaw pain, headaches, fatigue, bruxism, and fractured teeth. He told the doctor, "I want you to pull my teeth and make me a denture because I'm tired of dealing with my tooth problems!"
Instead, Dr. Skinner enlisted Paramount to help design a healthier, harmonious smile. He aligned the patient's teeth with clear aligners, performed a slight gingivectomy to level the gumlines, and sent us post-orthodontia photos of the patient's smile. He then sent a combined pre-scan, and prep-scan through his Itero 5D+. The pre-scan allowed us to align the teeth with the smile picture so that the smile we designed on the prep-scan is accurate. This enabled Dr. Skinner and our technicians to see the exact shape of the new smile inside of his face before fabrication, allowing the patient to have input if they desired.

Prep Scan
Our experienced smile-design-certified technicians made a custom-designed smile based on the patient's interpupillary line, midline, occlusal plane, tooth characterization, gingival contour, and other facial features. We superimposed the design on the patient's photo, showing how the new smile would look in real life, and sought Dr Skinner's feedback.
The exocad design file allows Dr. Skinner to review the proposed restoration before fabrication.
Once the final design was approved, we immediately started fabrication of beautiful 1M1 Katana UTML zirconia crowns for #3, #6-11, and #14, as well as a gold-anodized custom abutment and crown for implant #13 to ensure an amazingly realistic final result for the patient.
